Age: 33

Birthplace: Whispering Hallow, NJ

Education: Monmouth University

Interests/Hobbies: Speed Walking, Spending time with family, Watching re-runs of The Waltons, and eating healthy snacks. Jackson Browne - Running on Empty, Chariots of Fire theme music, Dion Warwick - Walk on Bye. I've taken up whittling as of late. It calms me. I just throw on The Soggy Bottom Boys and pick up my tools and just see what I come up with. It's mostly abstract art, I guess. I don't know if I should be so bold as to call it art, but it calms me. Reginald says that it's important to have an outlet that is calming when training for a huge race like the New Jersey finals. So I'm just taking my coach's advice.

Movies/Books: Forrest Gump, Prefontaine, Walk Don't Run, Raels Racewalker, Walkin' Free, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Into the Wild. Breaking Away could be one of my favorite films. It just doesn't get any better than watching a bunch of underdogs turn on that determination trigger, and go for it. I just love Jackie Earl Haley. I wish he worked more. He's very talented. I've also taken a liking to many foreign filmmakers like Satyajit Ray. The Apu trilogy is just bad ass. As for books, I'm a big Steinbeck fan. Cannery Row is my favorite. I've been reading a lot of magazines lately and haven't hunkered down with a good book in a while, but it's on my list.
